DirectI Changes Domain Deletion Policy

Formerly, if you made a typographical error with your domain name registration, DirectI usually gave a 4 day grace period to delete such domain and register another one. This service only attracted a $1 fee.

Surprisingly, without any notice, their polity seems to have changed. I tried to delete a domain and realized that refunds are no longer offered for deleting newly registered domains. I find this unreasonable. One now has to crosscheck a domain name comprehensively before hitting the “register” Button.
